This notice applies to banksiajobs.com and to everyone who browses it, applies for a vacancy or contacts us. BanksiaJobs advertises home-based vacancies to people across Australia and connects applicants with the businesses that are hiring. We do not employ applicants ourselves. We operate from Karratha, Western Australia, and our email is careers@banksiajobs.com. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
An application arrives in two pieces. From the application form we receive what its fields ask for: your name, a phone number, an email address, your availability and the vacancy you picked, with required fields clearly marked. From WhatsApp we receive the message you send our HR team, plus the number and display name on your WhatsApp account. An email to us gives us your email address and what you wrote.
Opening a page generates ordinary server data such as IP address, device and browser type, the page requested, the referring page and a timestamp. It exists to keep banksiajobs.com online and secure, it stays with our hosting provider, and it is not tied to any application.
Leaving a required field blank may mean we cannot contact you or forward your application. Anything not marked as required can be left out.
A vacancy application never needs a password, a verification code, card or bank account details, a tax file number or a scan of your licence or passport. Please do not send them. Anything like that we receive is deleted.
Your information is used to review and respond to your application, to match it to the vacancy you chose, to introduce you to that vacancy's employer, to tell you about the next steps, to keep an accurate record of applications and correspondence, to handle complaints and misuse, and to comply with the law.
BanksiaJobs never sells, rents or trades contact details, and an application is not consent to marketing. If another employer seems a better match, you are told about that introduction first, and nothing is shared for it without your agreement.
Applications are visible only to the BanksiaJobs staff who process them. The business behind the vacancy you selected receives the details relevant to it, and you will know which business that is, and what it receives, before we introduce you.
Three outside services are involved. Cloudflare hosts the site, filters harmful traffic and forwards mail sent to our address. Google Fonts supplies the fonts, which means your browser fetches them from Google. WhatsApp, run by Meta, carries the messages between you and our HR team. Each applies its own terms. Any new provider, for example a form platform or an advertising tag, will be added to this list before we start using it.
Personal information may be disclosed where a law obliges us, or where it is lawful and reasonably needed to look into fraud, misuse of our name or a risk to someone's rights.
After the form, you complete your application by messaging our HR team on WhatsApp. Tapping our button opens a chat with a message already typed, and the number at the top of that chat is our HR team's. Nothing is sent until you read it and press Send yourself. If WhatsApp does not work for you, write to careers@banksiajobs.com and we will suggest an alternative.
BanksiaJobs places no marketing or analytics cookies. A security cookie that is strictly necessary may be set by our hosting provider to keep bots out. Your browser lets you refuse or delete cookies without breaking the site.
As of the date at the top, no advertising pixels, remarketing tags or analytics tools run on banksiajobs.com. Before any are introduced, this notice will be updated to name the provider, describe what it receives and explain your options. Contact details are never passed into measurement events or page URLs.
Our providers operate in several countries, including the United States, so your information may be processed outside Australia. We follow the overseas disclosure requirements in the Australian Privacy Principles. Ask us by email if you want details.
We keep application records and related messages for no more than 12 months after our last meaningful contact with you about a vacancy. They are deleted earlier on request, and kept longer only if a legal obligation or open dispute requires it. Server logs are rotated by the hosting provider, usually within 30 days.
Traffic to the site is encrypted with HTTPS, and only staff who need applications can open them. No system can promise perfect security; where a breach is likely to cause serious harm, we notify those affected under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
An employer or WhatsApp may keep its own copy of your information, and deleting ours does not delete theirs. We will tell you who to approach where that is the case.
You may ask to see what we hold, have it fixed or deleted, withdraw your application or raise a privacy concern by writing to careers@banksiajobs.com. A quick identity check may be needed. Requests are handled within 30 days where possible, and if something cannot be done you are told why. An introduction already made cannot be reversed by withdrawing.
Let us know if your phone number, email or availability changes and we will update the record.
Nothing is scored or rejected automatically. A person reads each application, and the business that is hiring decides.
banksiajobs.com is aimed at adult job seekers. Information collected from a child by mistake is deleted as soon as we notice.
Write to careers@banksiajobs.com explaining what happened. You will get a written reply after we investigate. If you are not satisfied, respond to that reply and another member of the team reviews the matter afresh.
New versions of this notice are posted here with an updated date. Where a revision changes how existing information is used, we tell people beforehand if the law requires it.
In this notice, "personal information" carries its Privacy Act meaning, "application record" means the details created when you apply, "employer" means the business advertising the vacancy you chose, and "we" means BanksiaJobs.
Some browsers send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Because banksiajobs.com runs no tracking of its own, there is nothing for those signals to switch off, but any provider we add later will respond to them under its own policy.
