Terms of Use

Agreement to these terms

By using banksiajobs.com or applying for a vacancy through it, you agree to these terms. The site is run by BanksiaJobs of Karratha, Western Australia, reachable at careers@banksiajobs.com. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

Terms used

"BanksiaJobs", "we" and "our" refer to the operator; "you" refers to the person using the site; "the site" is banksiajobs.com; an "employer" is a business advertising a vacancy; a "listing" is that vacancy's description.

What the service is

BanksiaJobs publishes vacancies and connects applicants with the businesses offering them. We do not hire. Contracts, supervision, working arrangements, pay and the decision to hire all rest with the employer. An application does not make you our employee and does not promise an offer.

About listings

Read the whole listing, including duties, working arrangements, engagement type, eligibility and conditions. Vacancies fill and change; when we learn a vacancy has closed or materially changed, we edit or remove the listing. Report anything inaccurate or contradictory to careers@banksiajobs.com, saying which vacancy.

How to apply

Your information must be true and about you, unless you are helping someone who has agreed to it. You must meet the vacancy's eligibility and right-to-work conditions. Fill in the form, then send our HR team the WhatsApp message; the message only goes when you press Send. No WhatsApp? Email us for another route. Businesses may ask further questions or hold an interview before deciding.

Applicants pay nothing

BanksiaJobs takes no money from applicants: no application, placement, administration or training charge and no deposit. BanksiaJobs earns its money from the businesses that advertise vacancies with it. Nobody acting for us will ask you to buy cryptocurrency, fund an account, pay to get work or transfer money to release wages. Report any such request to careers@banksiajobs.com.

Pay

Pay is decided by the employer and relates only to the vacancy and conditions described; a range is not a promise of its top figure. Before starting, obtain in writing the employer's legal name, the duties, the engagement type, the rate or pay method, expected hours or workload and the payment dates. We guarantee no work, workload or income.

Who is responsible for what

We answer for our own words and ads; employers answer for the information they give and their duties to their workers. A material difference between our advertising and the site is investigated and corrected, and a broad disclaimer does not cancel a specific statement or your legal rights.

Privacy

Our Privacy Notice explains how applications are handled. WhatsApp and employers apply their own policies to data they keep.

Conduct

You must not impersonate others, lodge applications you know are false, use somebody else's details without consent, introduce harmful code or disrupt the site.

Using site content

Pages may be viewed and saved for your own job search. Republishing, selling or modifying them requires the rights holder's permission. Images are licensed stock, not photos of actual applicants or employers.

Third-party apps

Some buttons hand you to WhatsApp or your mail app, which are outside our control.

Uptime

We aim to keep the site reachable but cannot guarantee it, or that a vacancy stays open while you apply. Maintenance may happen without notice.

Statutory guarantees

These terms do not exclude, restrict or modify any guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Limits on liability

Subject to those guarantees, BanksiaJobs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss connected with the site. Liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud, is unaffected.

Mistakes

Typos and technical errors may occur and are fixed when noticed.

Breaches by users

Loss reasonably caused by your breach of these terms, such as applying with another person's details without their agreement, is your responsibility, except to the extent we caused it.

Force majeure

Delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages at hosting or messaging providers, are not our responsibility.

Invalid terms

If a clause proves unenforceable, the others still stand, and choosing not to enforce a clause does not waive it.

Complete agreement

Together with the Privacy Notice and the Compliance Statement, these terms are the complete agreement covering your use of the site.

Notices

Anything we need to tell you about an application goes to the WhatsApp number or email you contacted us from. Notices for BanksiaJobs go to careers@banksiajobs.com.

Governing law

Western Australian law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory protection that applies to you.

Accounts

There are no user accounts on banksiajobs.com and you will never be asked to set a password. Treat any offer of a BanksiaJobs login as suspicious.

Suspending access

Where we reasonably believe the site is being misused, we may remove a listing or decline to forward an application, and we will let anyone affected know.

Assignment

Your rights under these terms are personal to you. If BanksiaJobs is sold or restructured, our rights may pass to the new operator and these terms keep applying.

Suggestions

Ideas or suggestions you send about the site may be used to improve it, with no obligation owed to you in return.

Your agreement with the employer

If you take on work, the agreement is between you and that business. BanksiaJobs is not a party to it and cannot enforce it on your behalf.

Language

These terms are written in English. If a translation is ever provided and it differs, the English version applies.

Questions and updates

Send questions or complaints to careers@banksiajobs.com with the vacancy concerned. Updated terms are posted here with a new date and do not reach back to earlier events.
